Oregon Landscape Contractor Association

Oregon landscape contractor association serves as the main landscape industry promoter and developer in the state.

The OLCA is a not-for-profit organization which has members from

  • Landscape Contracting Professionals,
  • Landscape Maintenance Professionals,
  • Suppliers to the landscape industry, and
  • Staff from educational institutions and students in the horticulture programs.

Part of it's mandate is the Certified Landscape Technician examination, in which an applicant must pass one of the five module tests.

Individuals who pass each test will become Certified Landscape Technicians. There will be a distinction between installation, maintenance and irrigation on all official documents.

As an example of the test modules, passing the installation test demonstrates that an individual has the skills to review a landscape blueprint and implement the design in the field.

Since 1993, over 300 Oregon landscapers have been certified by the association.
