Oklahoma Landscape Contractor Association
ONLA’s serves it’s members in several ways, including member certification, events, education, and promoting positive legislation that benefits the industry in the state. As for events, there are regional meetings throughout the state, a Landscape Contractors day, and the yearly ONLA Convention and Trade Show. The website at oknla.org is one of the main features of their ongoing mission to keep the membership informed on what is happening in the state and industry. At the website, you can also read the newsletters, which are published on a quarterly basis, and go to issues such as national legislation, upcoming events, and new members. As for the profile of the membership, the "Green Industry" that the association is an umbrella organization for in Oklahoma, they have 414 licensed nursery growers and 1,927 licensed nurserydealers, representing thus almost 2,500 businesses. According to the association, these businesses employ a little over ten people per business, or over 25,000 people in total.
