The first store was opened in 1947, and since then, the stores have grown both in number, and number of products sold. 90% of the plants sold at the stores, including annuals and perennials, are grown at the store's own nursery, ensuring quality and availability of products. Of the departments within the company, Natorp Landscape Division has become one of the largest in the Midwest. It is full service landscape division that provides landscape design, installation and maintenance.
