McDonalds Garden Center

McDonalds Garden Center has three locations in Eastern Virginia.

The garden center started business as a partnership between two Canadian brothers in 1945 in Hampton, Virginia.

Since the 1950s, the store has been offering plants and the store operating as a full-line garden center.

Since 1973, when the business changed ownership, the stores have grown rapidly in size and structure, to the now three stores in Eastern Virginia.

The expansion to Virginia Beach market came in 1980. Originally the location was a horse stable and riding academy, and created traction immediately as a unique setting for plants and gardening accessories.

Later, 1992, the centers expanded to Chesapeake, Virginia, with the opening of McDonald Garden Center on Portsmouth Boulevard.
