Asphalt Rubber Technology Service ARTS

Asphalt rubber technology service ARTS is a partnership between South Carolina's Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), Clemson University and the City of Clemson.

The service was created for the specific purpose of promoting, designing, and testing the use of recycled tires in rubberized asphalt and other infrastructure applications.

ARTS, as part of it's mission, supplies funding to South Carolina cities and counties for test projects each year, and performs research to discover new uses and improve upon existing uses of scrap tires.

Also, ARTS service conducts training classes and seminars on the use, design, testing, and construction of rubberized asphalt.

The project has a website located at www.ces.clemson.edu/arts/, from where you can find the most frequently asked questions answered, details on current projects, and more.
